Pennington Street Community Garden

This garden was started by Oblong and their volunteers in 2009 and has since been through various stages of care and wildness! Hyde Park Source started running a weekly group here as part of the Outdoors Active and Well project in June 2019.

We meet on Friday mornings.

There is a mixture of food and flowers and a focus on creating habitats for wildlife on this site. We use Woodhouse Community Centre as a wet weather alternative so we'll be having fun whatever the weather. We are a friendly group who love to get stuck in, we go on walks some weeks to explore the green spaces in the surrounding area and have cook and eat sessions too.
