Since February half-term and lighter, slightly warmer mornings we've been working with the Reception and Year 1 classes and their families to grow, build, learn and play together. Our aim this year is to encourage families to grow at home and understand the journey from seed to plate. We'll also be growing herbs and veg for the school cooks to use so every child benefits from the things we grow! We have looked for minibeasts, planted seeds, painted with mud, used hammers and nails to build some planters and topped up our leaf trampoline! These sessions carry on from the previous year when we helped the school to design and create a 'Sensational Garden' in the school grounds... including a chicken run, a fire pit and rocket stove, a sensory trail, living willow structures and more beds for food and flowers. Feedback from Staff: "Fantastic team doing fantastic things! An amazing effort put into everything they do!"
