Growing for Colour at Leeds Industrial Museum at Armley Mills

"We have been working in partnership with Hyde Park Source for six months on a community garden at Leeds Industrial Museum. During that time Hyde Park Source staff and volunteers have been consistently hard working, enthusiastic and supportive. Thanks to them we were able to provide local people with an informal, friendly setting in which to meet new people and learn new skills. Hyde Park Source brought not only gardening experience, but also the ability to create a great atmosphere in which people felt welcome, accepted and encouraged. I cannot praise them enough; it has been a fantastic experience for us."

"I would like to say that it has been a pleasure to work with HP Source staff and volunteers. They have worked steadily through some of the coldest and wettest weather this year to produce a beautiful garden area for the school community.Every one who has seen it has commented on how wonderful it is. It has given the entrance to our school a real lift. HP Source have been brilliant to work with. They have been sensitive to the needs of the school and especially good when working with the children, who have thoroughly enjoyed the project and are looking forward to planting their own plants and vegetables. The school now has a sensory garden that they can use to promote environmental issues and healthy eating among other things. It is also a peaceful place for parents to sit when they come to pick up their children. I just want to finish by saying that HP Source are worth their weight in gold and they ensure that everyone who works with them gets as much out of the project as they can."
