Volunteering Opportunities

Hyde Park Source is a voluntary organisation, which means volunteers set it up; most staff members have been volunteers and a voluntary management committee oversees it.

Volunteers receive expenses for travel and lunch and we can also offer child care expenses when necessary.

All volunteers are offered one-to-one support with their placement and in finding work and training opportunities through regular feedbacks with staff. They can also access external training when relevant to their volunteering, such as Health and Safety, First Aid at Work or Child Protection.

Currently we have opportunities for people who can help staff by supporting young people, helping with general site work and becoming management committee members.

All our volunteers will be required to undergo an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau check as part of our Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection Policy. This is free and arranged by HPS.
