7th week completed and I am nearing the finish line! This week was another busy week at Hyde Park Source but in a different context to other weeks. I spent a lot of time in the office planning sessions and training evenings. This was pretty stressful and tiring but it was also enjoyable to be deep in the office and logistics of Hyde Park Source, I really enjoyed working in the office more this week as I felt like I gained a lot of knowledge about how the company works day to day. I helped plan and facilitate a training session this week for volunteers which was really good and something I hadn't done before, in the context of delivering training to people older than me.
A school session started this week- Brudenell Primary School in Hyde Park. We were working with year ones to build plant potters. I loved working with young kids at that age, they are just so much fun and entertaining. The session will be every week, one week with the year ones and the next week with the reception class. It's a pity I wont be there to see the whole programme out as my placement is coming to an end..
I had my regular session at Spring Valley Rangers this week and it was the second week of my 'programme of intervention', it was very fun and successful as the weather was really good so we spent the entire session outside. Sunday the 6th of March at Spring Valley Rangers myself and Charlie have planned an action day, that should be interesting and I will post about it next week.
Next week is going to be very busy and full of activities and sessions so please keep reading my blog. I have two weeks of placement left and I tend to make the most of them.
Until next time.
