A quick update, I will edit this tomorrow and add photos when I have access to the photographs...
Killingbeck was a big success on Monday, every week we see to be attracting more children. We had three new young people, just as encouraging we also had a young person that we had least expected to attend to come. I got the chance to work with him on more of a one-to-one basis this week, which was good as we took apart pallets that were on the allotment site.
We also had a representative from the newspaper come and take some photographs of the young people to show the hard work that they have been doing since we have started.
On Tuesday we had some students from the University of Leeds, who are doing some research on how companies communicate with each other, come into our staff meeting. They told us we had a very good way of communicating with each other. Which is a good sign!
Yesterday, was also Rosebank Rangers. The young people were very hyper and unfocused. But that is okay, you have to expect that with children every now and again. We were able to reflect on it and we will work out how to adjust the session next week so that it is fun and enjoyable for the young people.
